Bedroom Nook

One of my favorite corners of our house is the one in our bedroom for many reasons.  First of all, I adore the yellow chair that we found at a thrift shop for 60 bucks.  It was the perfect color and the fabric was in great shape.  The only thing I did to update it a bit was cut off the fabric that hung around the bottom and used a staple gun to attach the excess fabric underneath the chair.  I got the ottoman at the same thrift shop and covered it with fabric to match our room.

Another reason I love this little nook is the unexpected "art" on the wall.  I painted four Ikea spice racks white and used them to display a few of my clutch bags.  I also framed one of B.J.'s old ties to add a masculine touch.

One thing we need to do is hang some curtains in a major way.  It's been on the to-do list since we moved in two years ago.  But other than that, it's the perfect cozy spot to read and write.
